Paraeducators: The Nuts and Bolts of Special Education and Inclusion

This course is a part of a series of trainings designed for paraeducators. In this course, participants will understand relevant positions, their functions in Special Education, and how those in the paraeducator role will utilize key documents to collaborate in providing services to students in the classroom and the school.

Participants will learn about:

  • Various service models in Special Education and how paraeducators are involved.
  • Some of the key positions in Special Education, the functions of the positions, and how paraeducators may interact with these positions.
  • Key documents related to special education that are utilized in the classroom.
