Inclusive Mindset: Building the Foundation for Supporting Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Participants will learn why and how to include students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants will examine research around the benefits of including students with IDD in the general education classroom and learn collaboration tools and strategies for evidence-based inclusive practices. This course is most beneficial for special education teachers, general education teachers, administrators, ESPs (paraeducators), and ESAs (counselors, SLPs, OTs). Participants are encouraged to come with their team to begin planning for inclusion. This course is approved for CCDEI clock hours.
