Participants will learn about the history of AT in education. They will develop an understanding of the barriers that prolong gaps in implementation, perpetuate inequities, and limit student access to education. Participants will investigate how AT can support skill development and how to align use with national standards. They will learn about a range of available AT and will experience a demonstration of artificial intelligence (AI) as AT. Participants will develop plans for practical applications of AT within their settings and learn how to develop strategies for making connections beyond the classroom.
