Position: Occupational Therapist

Joanna has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 24 years in schools, hospitals, and private practice in Southwest Washington; specializing in sensory processing, behavioral health, support, and advocacy for families. Having two sons with autism changed her perspective, practice, and approach radically; believing that the student and their family are the most important people at the IEP table. She views therapy as a triad with caregivers, client (student) and therapist. Other passionsate inclue horticulture – a Master Gardener with a tiny Christmas Tree Farm in her backyard. Joanna currently is chair of the <a href="https://specialeducationsupportcenter.org/about-us/family-advocacy-team/"> Family Advocay Team</a>.
