Position: Teacher, 7th Grade Core

Joan taught high school resource room and elementary general education. She currently teaches 7th-grade core literacy and reading intervention classes. With this broad educational background serving students at various levels, Joan has developed a deep understanding of student supports needed to gain access to standards. Research passions include UDL, standards, John Hattie’s Visible Learning, High Leverage Practices, and how these elements of education intersect with equity to provide the best outcomes for all students.
