Ainsley Nix

Position: Speech/Language Teacher
As a disabled and neurodivergent educator, Ainsley’s work centers neurodiversity and disability justice to improve inclusionary practices for all students. Her experience spans over a decade in rural districts, supporting students’ access to language, literacy, and communication at the secondary level. Right now, her personal and instructional goals focus on strategies to support DeafBlind students, including the study of American Sign Language. She studied fine art and speech and hearing sciences at Washington State University and currently lives in Olympia, WA.
