Special Education for the General Education Educator

This course is for both new and experienced general education educators at all grade levels, participants learn about the differences between section 504 plans and IEPs and come to understand the general education educator’s role in a special education team.

Participants will:

  • Explore both accommodations and modifications, investigate what related learning strategies look like in their classroom.
  • Examine how these strategies improve student learning.
  • Review the 13 disability categories of IDEA.
  • Learn how to develop levels of performance in partnership with their special education colleagues.
