The US Department of Education has launched a new IDEA website with information and resources about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The resource comes three months after the previous site crashed due to technical problems.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities throughout the nation. IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education and related services to more than 6.5 million eligible infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities.
Three months after a key government special education website crashed, federal officials have introduced a revamped online presence. Users are encouraged to offer feedback via the IDEA Blog.
